Robyn Carrigan

Robyn Carrigan, Cape Breton-based award-winning singer, songwriter and instrumentalist grew up surrounded by music in a household steeped in Gaelic culture. A direct descendant from the chain migration from Gaelic Scotland and Ireland to Nova Scotia (New Scotland), she offers a unique and authentic window into the world of the Gaels. She continues to uphold the traditions of her lineage by working as a Gaelic performing artist, through inter-cultural musical collaborations, and by teaching and organizing Gaelic song and language workshops in North America and Europe.
