The Games at the End of the Train

ScotFestBC – The British Columbia Highland Games is held at Town Centre Park, just steps away from the Lafarge Lake-Douglas Station on the Skytrain Millennium Line, Evergreen extension.  Take the day to explore Coquitlam and the Highland Games, and experience the Games at the End of the Train.

Parking

PARK RESPONSIBLY! The City of Coquitlam will be enforcing all parking bylaws. If you park where you should not (eg. on the grass or handicapped parking), you will be ticketed and may subject yourself to towing.

There are seven parking lots on the Town Centre Park grounds as well as pay parking.

Pay parking ($5.50/day) is available at Douglas College, across the street (Pinetree) from Lafarge Lake. Please Note : Credit card or debit only in the parkade, or cash at the machine in the lobby. See more details below.

Trevor Wingrove Way Parking
There will be no parking at the parking lots beside Trevor Wingrove Way. Traffic will be controlled along the street to ensure safety and reduce congestion.

Coquitlam Centre Parking
There is no event parking at Coquitlam Ctr. With the new Skytrain line, the centre has implemented a new, and strictly enforced, parking monitoring system. If people park at the mall and then walk off property it is likely they will receive a ticket from the parking lot management system.

Service Entrance
Vendors, entertainers, contractors and VIP's can enter via the Service Entrance at the east end of Trevor Wingrove Way. The entrance will be patrolled and passes will be required.

Parking is $2/hour or $5.50 for the day. For anyone who wishes to pay park vis an app, the link is below. (note there is an extra 50 cent charge to use the app). For those who have an electric car, we please ask after it’s charged to move to a regular parking stall.

Transit

Getting to the Games by transit is easy. Take the Evergreen Line to the end – the Lafarge Lake Station. From there, it's a short five to seven minute walk along the lake to Lafarge Lake Park. Just listen for the pipes.
