Lorne Cousin "Piper to the Stars"

Originally from Campbeltown, Argyll, Scotland, Piper Lorne Cousin has won solo prizes at the Scottish Pipers Association, Cowal Gathering, Skye Gathering Argyllshire Gathering and the Northern Meeting.  He played with the City of Glasgow Pipe Band and Strathclyde Police Pipe Bands. After moving to the US, he was pipe sergeant of LA Scots Pipe Band.  In LA, he played for Hollywood stars including  Stella McCartney, Missy Elliot and toured with Madonna (World Reinvention Tour, 2004).  Lorne is currently the national brand ambassador for Glenfiddich, a company of William Grant & Sons.  Lorne is an WUSPBA (Western US Pipe Band Assn.) pipe band (Grade A) and solo piping adjudicator and will be adjudicating at the 91st. British Columbia Highland Games. He will also play the opening lament at the Official Opening Ceremony on Friday, June 16 at 6:0 pm, prior to the SFU Pipe Band concert.
