The Hounds of Cuchulain

This will be the Hounds of Cuchulain’s first appearance at ScotFestBC and we are in for a treat.  The “Hounds” are a Victoria-based band performing a wide variety of Scottish, Irish, English and original songs in the Celtic tradition. Their music is inspired by folk giants like The Dubliners, The Pogues and The Corries, delivering rowdy pub songs, historical ballads, fiery dance tunes, engaging storytelling and haunting airs.

The band got together in 2021, led by composer Wolf Edwards on lead vocals and guitar, Madelaine Townley on vocals, Irish harp and tin whistle, Dexter Simpson on Irish tenor banjo, and virtuoso fiddler and master of harmony Briana Kennedy. They have been performing all over Vancouver Island, building up a loyal following playing at festivals, weddings, pubs and parties.
